GLS 2024 Volunteer Registration
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN VOLUNTEERING!
An Overview:
- GLS Date: Thursday, August 8th and Friday, August 9th
- Volunteer perks include:
- FREE admission to view the Summit.
- FREE online access to view all Summit sessions for 30 days following the Summit.
- FREE lunch and snacks the day you volunteer.
- FULL ACCESS to our Volunteer Central lounge, where you can take a break, enjoy a snack or lunch, and catch a message or two from the Summit speakers, while serving.
- Shift Times:
- Vary by team.
- During your shift you will have 'down-time' to relax in our Volunteer Central lounge.
- To fully serve our guests, we ask that you please be available for your entire shift.
- NOTE:
- We know some of you like to serve both days and we welcome you to do so! If you wish to serve both days, but on a different team each day, you’ll need to fill the form out twice.
- Serving Age: All volunteers need to be age 14 and up.
- Waitlist: Should all of our volunteer team positions fill, you have the option to join our waitlist here. We will contact you should we have cancellations.

Description of each team (shift times listed on the next page):
Registration and Thursday Summit Breaks: Registration is a short shift first thing on Thursday morning when you will check in conference guests. You will then shift to Summit Breaks to set up snacks and drinks for conference guests. Will have some sitting time and some on your feet time.
Registration and Friday Summit Breaks(PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SPLIT SHIFT BETWEEN THURSDAY AND FRIDAY): Registration is a short shift first thing Thursday morning when you will check in conference guests. You will return mid-morning Friday to serve on the Summit Breaks team setting up snacks and drinks for conference guests. Will have some sitting and some on your feet time.
Guest Services: Greet guests, help with seating, and reset public areas. Will require being on your feet.
Summit Breaks: Set-up snacks and drinks for conference guests. Will require being on your feet and some light
lifting.
Café: Help maintain coffee area. Will require being on your feet.
Volunteer Central Host: Assist in our Volunteer Central lounge by checking in volunteers and managing serving breakfast, snacks and lunch. Light lifting, some on your feet as well as sitting time.
Registration Solutions: Help guests who encounter registration issues and assist with walk-in registrations. Must be tech-savvy and will utilize a computer. Be patient and calm under pressure. May be asked to be available for advance training on our registration procedures.
Floaters:This is one of our most important roles because it guarantees great service for our guests by keeping our teams filled to capacity. You will provide help wherever needed. Please be prepared to be on your feet and to help with light lifting since you may be assigned to any of our teams. If there are advance cancellations, you may be moved to a specific team prior to the Summit.
